Hemident was designed for investigators and technicians to aid them in the presumptive identification of blood stains.  The MacPhail's Reagent has been found to be more stable than other manufacturers' products.  When blood comes in contact with the test, it gives a vivid blue-green response. 

Note:  Hemident does not distinguish between human and/or animal blood.
