Mikrosil™

Mikrosil™ should be used to record marks on shiny, reflective surfaces such as doorknobs, aluminum objects, and marks on translucent materials such as plastic and fracture patterns.  It is also used for recording bite marks at autopsies, examination of firing pin impressions, breech face marks, and marks on cartridge casingsWhite and Black Mikrosil™ were developed to lift powder-developed latent prints from curved or textured surfaces and make castings from the fingers of deceased persons.

 

Curved Surfaces:

What could be more difficult than lifting prints from a golf ball? Mikrosil™ can lift clear, latent prints developed with black fingerprint power on curved surfaces.  Use Mikrosil™to lift prints from doorknobs, light bulbs, and other curved surfaces. 

 


Black Mikrosil™:

Can be used when white, silver or fluorescent fingerprint powders are used.  The black Mikrosil™ background does not fluoresce.  It can also be used on curved and other difficult surfaces
